Roaring Creek Bridge Back In Bussiness
After working hard the County has finial fixed what has fallen.

The Roaring Creek Bridge's  official opening ceremony is this morning at 11.

Attending the ceremony this morning will be Midville Mayor Seth Montana, U.S Congressman Nancy Draughorn and a United States Senator Warren Johns.

The 75 year old bridge sadly didn't survive the flood last year, when it was washed away.

Back to Life

The county, state, and US Department of Transportation have worked very hard in rebuilding the bridge which cost $700,000 to replace. Attorney of Midville Roland Lively says that before the bridge was damaged by the flood, they didn't have enough money to replace, just fix it.

Many are happy the bridge is back because when the bridge went out by the flood, it created a bad hardship for the Oak Grove neighborhood. With the bridge destroyed, residents had no choice but to drive a lot farther north up the Roaring Creek road Highway. This made traveling very frustrating for many drivers.

"Traveling all the way has made it very inconvenient for a lot of people. We've had to use a lot of time and gasoline just to make what otherwise would be very short trips." says Josh Spivia. " Having this bridge erected so quickly is a blessing ."

The bridge stretches 33-feet across the Roaring Creek along and Roaring Creek Road to welcome all  travelers who come.
